Dana White Fuming as UFC Crypto Scam Rocks UFC Instagram
We just witnessed a UFC crypto scam. This week, the UFC’s official Instagram account was the target of a bizarre and concerning hacking incident.
Late Wednesday evening, the account displayed what appeared to be a promotional post announcing the launch of a UFC-branded cryptocurrency that ended up being a rug pull. Fans are pissed.
“Yeah this is a total shit coin but how am I supposed to see the 90% in ONE MINUTE coming?” one investor commented on X. “The coin was actually getting ready to moon and be a f*cking legitimate UFC coin.”

The fake post featured the UFC logo and a crypto wallet address alongside a caption touting the supposed debut of a new digital coin. It read, “UFC fans have been waiting, and the moment is here. Get ready to own the legacy. Precision. Strength. All in one coin. #UFC #UnleashTheFight.”
Adding to the confusion, the account’s Instagram Stories included a link directing users to a website where the fraudulent cryptocurrency could allegedly be purchased.
RIP if the UFC ever wanted to launch an official coin. Not cool.
“The post did not come from the UFC,” an official clarified, confirming that swift action was taken to regain access to the account.
Despite their quick work, some fans reported that the post remained live for over an hour before being removed.
